The Delta Biodiversity Research and Conservation Lab is a dynamic research initiative rooted in the heart of Bangladesh, a country renowned for its rich and diverse ecosystems.

The Lab mission is to:

Advanced Scientific Understanding of Biodiversity

Conduct cutting-edge research on the ecology, behaviour, and conservation of primates and other wildlife to generate valuable knowledge for understanding and protecting ecosystems in Bangladesh and beyond.

Promote Ecosystem Conservation

Develop and implement innovative conservation strategies to protect and restore habitats, ensuring the long-term survival of key species and the health of ecosystems in the face of climate change and human activities.

Engage and Empower Local Communities

Foster collaboration with local communities by providing education, capacity building, and sustainable livelihood opportunities to promote biodiversity-friendly practices and shared stewardship of natural resources.

Integrate Technology and Innovation in Conservation

Utilize advanced tools such as GIS mapping, remote sensing, and ecological modelling to enhance research accuracy and efficiency, driving data-informed decision-making for conservation planning.
